NORWELL, Mass. (April 7, 2014) — Sullivan Tire & Auto Service recently hired three employees from the recently closed Century Tire Co. and offered to honor former customers' warranties with dealership.
Portland, Maine-based Century Tire closed its doors in February after 88 years in business upon the retirement of its owner and president, Dick Aronson.
“Much like Sullivan Tire, Century Tire is a family-run business that treated both its staff and customers like family. It's with heavy hearts that we see a local business close its doors, but it is our pleasure to welcome some of their dedicated employees to the Sullivan Tire team. We wish Dick and his family all the best in retirement,” said Sullivan Tire Vice President Paul Sullivan.
Sullivan Tire has hired Eric Anderson, previously a store manager for Century Tire, as a counter/service writer at its Portland location; Gordon Driskell as an ASE Master Technician for the Scarborough store; and Roger Bouchard as an auto technician for the Portland store.
Sullivan Tire said it will support former customers of Century Tire by honoring the company's free tire rotations and all manufacturer tire warranties.
“Because we want to ‘Keep You Rolling,' we have been assured by the Sullivan Tire Co. management that they will honor our free tire rotations and all manufacturer tire warranties. Just go to any of their many locations and tell them that the boys from Century Tire Co. sent you! You will receive the same service and courtesy you have become accustomed to from us. They, too, have a free courtesy shuttle for your convenience,” Mr. Aronson said in a letter to his customers.
Sullivan Tire operates 66 auto repair locations and 15 commercial truck tire centers in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Maine.
