AKRON—Nominations are now being taken for the 21st annual Tire Dealer Humanitarian Award recognizing an independent tire dealer or retreader who, during the past year, has made significant contributions to the betterrment of his or her community through charitable or public service work.
The winner, selected by an independent committee outside the tire industry, will receive the Tire Dealer Humanitarian Award Medal and a $2,500 donation to the charity of his or her choice.
The award will be presented during the 2014 Tire Industry Association convention/Specialty Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas, Nov. 4-7. Deadline for nominations is July 31. A nomination form is available at www.tirebusiness.com.
