GoTireVan to bring mobile tire service to U.S.

MOBILE, Ala. (March 28, 2014) — GoTireVans, a division of GoTire Inc. of Red Deer, Alberta, has signed Scott Blair to be its first U.S. distributor for its mobile tire service van concept.

“Scott has been our TIA (Tire Industry Association) Certified ATS (Automotive Tire Service) instructor since late 2012. As we now provide a custom mobile automotive service solution for the U.S. market, we are excited to have Mr. Blair and his 20-plus years' experience in the tire and custom wheel industry representing us,” GoTire said.

GoTire provides custom mobile service vans that offer tire/wheel service, rim repair service, auto glass repair/replacement, battery service, fleet maintenance, detailing and medium truck/RV tire service.

Mr. Blair is an owner of WheelWorks Inc. in Mobile but his work as a distributor for GoTireVans is independent of Wheel Works, GoTire said.

GoTireVans said it offers an entrepreneur or existing brick-and-mortar tire shop the ability to offer full tire service in a mobile fashion—at the customer's home, business or wherever they are.

“In Canada we have over 30 territories of franchises sold and 21 vans in operation (many franchisees own more than one territory). That exponential growth happened in one year,” a company spokesperson said.

The GoTireVans are customized Sprinter vans that allow full tire service — tire repair, replacement, balance and rotation—as well as other accessory service lines, such as detailing, auto glass and wheel repair.

“Scotts' role will be to work with individuals to create a new business or expand an existing brick-and-mortar tire dealer into mobile service by utilizing our custom upfitted Sprinter vans,” said Craig Howes, CEO of GoTire. “Based on our proven business model in Canada, we can cut years and millions of dollars in development cost to provide our U.S. clients with a working business in just a few months.”
