Goodyear continues dealer website program

    AKRON (March 24, 2014) — Goodyear is extending its customized website program for dealers through 2015 at no additional cost.

    The tire maker originally included customized tire dealer websites as part of its Tire & Service Network program for 2104. But the company said it has seen such strong response and positive feedback that it intends to extend the program through 2015 at no additional cost for all Tire & Service Network Ad Program levels—base, plus and premium.

    The website program is an initiative in Goodyear's efforts to continue generating demand for Goodyear brands, the Akron-based tire manufacturer said, and in turn driving traffic to participating retail outlets.

    “To better convert this demand to sales, Goodyear assists participating dealers in creating their own best-in-class websites that offer the experience and features consumers expect,” said Scott Rogers, chief marketing officer for Goodyear's North American consumer tire business.

    “They can take advantage of the consumer traffic at www.goodyear.com, with built-in, deep-link shopping cart handoff capabilities—with a newly created website for their business, all for no incremental cost to their existing Tire & Service Network membership.”

    With this online coordination, participating tire dealers can attract potential buyers in two ways, according to Goodyear: directly to their enhanced sites and via www.goodyear.com.

    “Our work to build this new dealer website platform will help the participating dealers to have an engaging online presence and be found online by tire shoppers,” Mr. Rogers said.

    Some of the features and support included in the website platform include:

    • Auto-posted Goodyear promotions;
    • Multiple options for quoting or scheduling;
    • Automotive service content;
    • Design customizations to allow a participating dealership to display its unique position in the local community; and
    • Consistency and integration points with www.goodyear.com.

    TCS Technologies is the only authorized vendor that can provide these customized websites at no additional cost to participating dealers, Goodyear said.

    Qualifying dealers interested in signing up for the new customized website option should contact TCS Technologies at 888-449-8473, [email protected], visit the company's website, or call their local Goodyear sales representative. More information on the program can be found on Goodyear's Tool Kit website.
