TOKYO (March 20, 2014) — Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. will participate in the upcoming Auto China 2014 trade show.
The event will be held in Beijing from April 20-29.
Yokohama said its booth will showcase its compounding technologies, with a focus on its proprietary orange oil-infused tires.
The Tokyo-based tire maker will feature a wide variety of tires using the orange oil technology, including its Advan global flagship brand's Advan Sport V105 for high-performance premium cars and the Advan Neova AD08R for street sports cars. Also on display will be the company's BluEarth AE-50 (marketed globally under the BluEarth-A name), a new fuel-efficient tire launched in the Chinese market in March, and the Geolander SUV for sport-utility vehicles.
Visitors also will be able to see the Toyota 86, a tuning car with a strong following in China, Yokohama said, as well as experience the thrill of race-car driving by playing the Gran Turismo 6 real-racing simulator, which was developed with technical assistance from Yokohama.
International auto shows are staged in China every year, with the venue alternating between Beijing and Shanghai. Last year at the Auto Shanghai 2013, about 2,000 companies from 18 countries and regions exhibited their products and technologies to about 813,000 visitors.
