    AKRON—The 2014 International Tire Exhibition & Conference (ITEC) for Tire Dealers/Auto Service professionals will present a panel focusing on agriculture and construction tires, one of 10 such panel presentations planned for the three-day gathering.

    The conference and trade show will take place Aug. 20-22 at the Caribe Royale All-Suite Hotel in Orlando, Fla.

    Manny Cicero, president of Alliance Tire Americas Inc., will moderate the panel featuring industry experts covering a wide swath of the farm and construction tire business.

    The panel is expected to delve into topical and timely issues affecting the farm tire and construction markets, including whether the new IF and VF tires are the answer to reduced compaction and improved crop yield, and if low-profile tires out-perform tracks.

    Attendees also will have the chance to pose questions to the panelists.

    Panel members include:

    c James Crouch, compact equipment segment marketing manager, Michelin North America Inc.;

    c Bruce Besancon, vice president marketing, Alliance Tire Americas;

    c Scott Sloan, ag product manager, Titan Tire Corp.;

    c Neil Rayson, senior vice president for sales and marketing, Mitas Tires North America;

    c Tom Rodgers, director of sales and marketing for Bridgestone Americas Agriculture;

    c Jimmie Huttu, commercial sales manager, K&M Tire; and

    c Christopher Durbin, technical associate, BKT USA Inc.

    “The 10 panel programs for this year's ITEC Tire Dealers/Auto Service show in Orlando, Fla., are the best ever,” said Ray Evans, conference chairman. “We're also developing 40-plus seminars targeted at helping the independent tire dealer to improve the operation and profitability of their business.”

    A $65 registration fee covers entry into the ITEC Tire Dealers/Auto Service show, including all of the educational sessions and the trade show.
