Zachert will join Lanxess on April 1

COLOGNE, Germany (March 10, 2014) — Matthias Zachert will become the next CEO of Lanxess A.G. on April 1, the firm said.

Mr. Zachert is currently chief financial officer of Merck KGaA in Darmstadt, Germany.

Until Mr. Zachert joins the company, Bernhard Duettmann, Lanxess' chief financial officer, is performing the responsibilities of the Chairman of the Board of Management.
