MISSISSAUGA, Ontario (March 3, 20145) — The board of directors of the Rubber Association of Canada (RAC) plans to meet early in March to discuss changing the group's name, according to the association's February e-Newsletter.
The proposed name change is part of the RAC's re-branding effort to better reflect the association's goals and membership, the e-Newsletter said.
A recent member survey, the association said, generally showed agreement among RAC members that including the word "tire" in the Mississauga-based association's name would more accurately reflect the scope of the association.
The board will have the final decision on whether the RAC's name should be changed, the e-Newsletter said. The association's re-branding efforts will be unveiled at its annual general meeting in June.
