MIDLOTHIAN, Va. (Feb. 25, 2014) — The Virginia Automotive Association (VAA) will host its 2014 “Connecting Virginia's Automotive Professionals” annual convention and tradeshow on April 11-13 at The Homestead in Hot Springs, Va.
VAA said featured speakers include Roy Littlefield, executive vice president of the Tire Industry Association, Bill Ford of SESCO, Charlie Crowder of Managed Benefits Inc. and Sam Parker of Give More Media Inc.
According to the association website, an annual meeting will introduce some of the VAA Endorsed Program vendors along with Mr. Littlefield, who will give a Washington update about issues at the federal level that impact the tire industry.
Mr. Crowder will speak about complying with the Affordable Health Care Act and Mr. Ford will touch on other human resource issues.
There also will be roundtable discussions on industry topics.
Mr. Parker will be the closing keynote speaker with his “212—the extra degree” program. The association's website describes the presentation as, “It begins with the premise, At 211 degrees, water is hot. At 212 degrees, it boils. And with boiling water, comes steam. And with steam, you can power a train. Just one extra degree makes all the difference.'”
