Double Camel decided to recall the tires after two from that lot failed NHTSA testing, the company said. One tire failed the endurance test and the other failed the plunger test, it said.
Based on those tests, Double Camel concluded that batch of tires may fail under prolonged use and become unseated from the rim.
Double Camel has not yet provided a notification schedule for tire owners, NHTSA said. However, Double Camel customers may call Lionshead at 574-533-6169.
