Stellar Industries makes personnel changes

GARNER, Iowa (Feb. 20, 2014) — Service truck maker Stellar Industries Inc. has made personnel changes in its customer service and product management departments.

Al Kuhlman has accepted the newly created position of assistant product manager, effective Feb. 3. He will be assisting on the continued development of Stellar's demountable product line, which includes the hooklifts, cable hoists and container carriers. He has been with the company for eight years, starting in the Installation department and most recently serving six years in customer service.

Kyle Freesemann has been promoted to assistant manager of customer service after spending the last three years as a customer service representative, according to Garner-based Stellar. Prior to that, he worked for a local equipment dealer as a field service technician. Mr. Freesemann will assist the customer service manager with day-to-day tasks, conducting service training, helping customers with technical issues and processing warranty claims and parts orders, the company said.

Kelly Weiland, who recently joined Stellar's customer service department as a technical representative, will provide technical assistance for customers and help with any questions, warranty claims and parts orders they may have about Stellar products. He previously was the general manager for 18 years with Howard Enterprises Inc., a wholesaler of aftermarket diesel engine parts.

Sean Moran, Stellar's sales and marketing manager, said the recent changes and additions "will enhance how Stellar serves its customers by providing better service and improved processes while continuing the standard of excellence our customers expect."

Founded in 1990 in Garner, Stellar is an employee-owned and -operated manufacturer of hydraulic truck mounted equipment. Its product lines include hooklift hoists, cable hoists, container carriers, telescopic cranes, articulating cranes, work truck accessories and the X-Tra-Lift pick-up loading device. The company also offers complete mechanic service truck and tire service truck packages.
