WICHITA FALLS, Texas (Feb. 19, 2014) — Goodyear has opened a Commercial Tire & Service Center in Wichita Falls, the tire maker's eighth commercial outlet in Texas but first in northern Texas.
Opening this 13,000-sq.-ft. location "underscores our commitment to northern Texas," said Paul Wanstreet, president of Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers. "We are excited to have an expanded presence in this important region."
The opening fills a gap in Goodyear's distribution footprint previously filled by T&W Tire Inc. of Oklahoma City, the longtime Goodyear dealer that switched its primary tire brands and retreading system to Michelin Truck Tires last summer.
The new location offers products including new Goodyear-, Dunlop- and Kelly-brand medium truck tires and Goodyear-brand retreaded truck tires. Services include truck alignments, tire repair and other tire-related services and 24/7 emergency roadside assistance, the company said.
Goodyear also has opened three Commercial Tire & Service Centers in Oklahama in the past few months.
The Akron-based tire maker now has 175 Commercial Tire & Service Centers nationwide and recently struck a deal with Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores to distribute Goodyear truck tires through the nationwide truck stop chain.
