KENOSHA, Wis. — Snap-on Tools, a subsidiary of Snap-on Inc., has debuted the Digital Display Circuit Tester (EECT400), designed to take the guesswork out of voltage readings, the company said.
The new tool features an LCD display that provides a "no-guess" voltage value of the circuit and a backlit LED that indicates red for power or green for ground, Snap-on said. It also is surge protected, provides +/- 0.3v accuracy from 3v to 19.99v and features a solid copper clip for maximum electrical signal transfer.
With the EECT400, technicians can have one hand free to move wires, replace a fuse or operate a switch, Snap-on said.
"After evaluating market needs and seeking input from our customers to understand their approach to diagnosing electrical problems, we developed the EECT400 Digital Display Circuit Tester," said David Brekke, category manager for Snap-on. "The EECT400 is designed so that technicians can use it to easily detect voltage, ground and circuit integrity. It is a standout in the market because it features the DC voltage digital display of a multimeter rather than a dimming/brightening indicator light."
