Mahle renames aftermarket tool/equipment division

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (Feb. 11, 2014) — Mahle Aftermarket Inc. has changed the name of its division specializing in the aftermarket tool and equipment segment to Mahle Service Solutions.

The company announced the new division during last fall's AAPEX trade show in Las Vegas. Mahle RTI, formerly RTI Technologies in York, Pa., was purchased on Jan. 1 and, according to the firm, is a key component of the new division.

Max Dull, general manager for Mahle Service Solutions in North America, said the Mahle RTI name will transition fully under the Mahle Service Solutions banner at AAPEX 2014. He noted that the new division name will not affect the company's brand names currently on the market, which include Arctic PRO A/C service equipment, NitroPRO nitrogen tire inflation systems and FluidPRO fluid exchange systems.

"We are excited to share with the aftermarket the new name for our tool and equipment division which is all about providing solutions to the difficult challenges that technicians face each day," Mr. Dull said. "The new name also positions us for future growth beyond our current offering of automotive maintenance equipment."

He said Mahle Service Solutions is already working on expansion of the segment into new products and new markets.

"Mahle has made clear its intention to be a major player in the tool and equipment industry," Mr. Dull added, "and the actions it has initiated globally have positioned us for an exciting and strong future."
