COLUMBUS, Ohio (Feb. 11, 2014) — American Kenda Rubber Industrial Co. Ltd. has signed PGA Tour Champion Chad Campbell to a multi-year endorsement agreement.
Mr. Campbell is a three-time member of the U.S. Ryder Cup Team, according to Kenda, and has four wins on the tour including the 2003 Tour Championship. He also was runner up at the PGA Championships, losing in the playoffs at the 2009 Masters to Angel Cabrera.
He will wear the Kenda logo on his shirts as he competes worldwide as what the tire maker called “a golf ambassador for the brand.”
“I am excited to be part of the Kenda team,” Mr. Campbell said in a press release. “I have always tried to portray excellence and character as a PGA Tour professional and I am excited to represent a company like Kenda that does the same as they produce great tires.”
Eric Yang, Kenda's marketing manager, said the company is “happy to add Chad to our stable of athletes representing the Kenda brand. Chad has a proven history of success and we believe he will be a great ambassador for the brand.”
Reynoldsburg, Ohio-based Kenda manufactures tires for automotive, motorcycle, ATV, bicycle, wheel chair, golf car, lawn care equipment, trailer, skid loader and agricultural vehicles.
