The Akron-based tire maker is planning to modernize the stores and expand the staffing at the stores, which were "already known for delivering great customer service in this market," said Adam Pusateri, district manager, Goodyear Retail. The outlets sell Goodyear, Dunlop and Kelly tires and provide a range of automotive services for cars, pickups, vans and sport-utility vehicles.
"Goodyear is committed to expanding our retail store format, and the acquisition of these locations is in line with that growth strategy," said John Peer, vice president, Goodyear Retail.
The company operates 616 retail stores across the U.S., including 92 in the Just Tires format.
