TOKYO (Feb. 7, 2014) — Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd.'s Indian subsidiary Yokohama India Pvt. Ltd. is exhibiting at India's 12th Auto Expo 2014, which began Feb. 5 and runs through 11 in Greater Noida.
This will be Yokohama India's fourth straight appearance at the biennial expo, billed as India's largest motor show.
Yokohama said its booth will introduce visitors to a variety of the company's tires and highlight its high-performance focus by showing the new Advan racing tires being supplied to the Federation International de l'Automobile (FIA) World Touring Car Championship (WTCC).
The series is being run this year run under new technical regulations, with “fin tires” developed by Yokohama “to help advance the next generation of motorization,” featuring a design that reduces a vehicle's air drag by controlling airflow in the wheel well, the company said.
The company is building a passenger car tire plant in the state of Haryana, near Delhi, with production scheduled to begin this year,
