NEPTUNE, N.J. (Feb. 4, 2014) — As the Northeast 2014 Automotive Services Show approaches, organizers said the event is close to selling out all booth space for the first time in the show's 37-year history.
The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ), the state's largest association of collision and mechanical repairers, is sponsoring the show—along with support from platinum show sponsor BASF—which is scheduled for March 21-23 at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, N.J.
“This is, by far, the most excited we have ever been about a Northeast show,” said AASP/NJ President Jeff McDowell. “We are still about eight weeks out and the facility is just about full. It is amazing. We have never seen a response like this.
“It just goes to show that hard work and persistence pay off. We have faced some challenges over the 37 years, especially over the last decade or so, but without a doubt, it's looking like Northeast 2014 will be the best show we have ever presented.”
Exhibitors from across the U.S. and Canada have signed up to take part in the show, which is highlighting an appearance by Chip Foose of the popular television program “Overhaulin'.”
Other events include industry educational seminars on subjects such as PartsTrader, KPIs, Ford's F-150 and I-CAR technical training, as well as the annual SCRS Northeast Leadership Meeting and the AASP National Board Meeting. Attendees also will get to test their skills and win prizes during a Virtual Spray Painting Tournament, see hands-on custom painting by Javier Soto, and visit the Natural Glass Corvette Association's Corvette Car Show.
Mr. McDowell said show attendees “will find everything you need to be successful in today's automotive repair industry at Northeast. Plus, you will get a chance to meet Chip and have some fun with all the additional events taking place throughout the weekend…. To not take part would be a big loss. I am looking forward to seeing a lot of new faces this year. I can't wait.”
Online pre-registration for the show is now open on the AASP/NJ website. www.aaspnjnortheast.com/registration.shtml More information on the event also is available on the show's YouTube page or on Twitter @AASPNJNORTHEAST.
