CINCINNATITire Discounters Inc. has joined the Automotive Maintenance and Repair Association (AMRA) and will start promoting the association's Motorist Assurance Program (MAP) consumer information through its 87 retail stores.
AMRA is a not-for-profit trade association organized to represent the interests, common policies and purposes of automotive service providers when dealing with consumers and to communicate those aims with the motoring public.
For years, Tire Discounters has followed MAP standards for automotive repair, saisd Nils Olsson, director of business development for Tire Discounters. Today, our new relationship with AMRA allows us to continue to ensure the best and most consistent service and repair process for all of our customers.
By utilizing the MAP Uniform Inspection and Communication Standards and following the MAP Process, Tire Discounters will join AMRA in helping strengthen the relationship between the motorist and the automotive maintenance and repair service industry.
At the same time, Mr. Olsson will join MAP's technical committee and will be a member of its tires/wheels/ TPMS sub-committee, helping to represent the industry regarding all proposed and pending state and federal regulations, as well as helping to improve industry service and operations standards.
Cincinnati-based Tire Discounters has more than 900 employees at its 87 stores in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. The dealeship's next move will be into Nashville, Tenn., where it's planning to open a dozen locations.
