SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Jan. 28, 2014) — The California Department of Resources Recovery and Recycling (CalRecycle) has scheduled a webinar, "California Tire Recycling Update," from 10 to 11 a.m. PST on Thursday, Jan. 30.
The webinar is designed to inform California stakeholders in tire recycling—including generators, haulers, processors, recyclers and product manufacturers—on new and continuing activities that may help them, CalRecycle said. Participants also will have the chance to ask questions and offer suggestions.
Leidos Engineering L.L.C., CalReycle's contractor on tire recycling issues, is coordinating the webinar. The agency recommends that participants sign in 10 minutes before the start of the webinar.
Topics to be discussed in the webinar include:
- Information available to tire-derived product (TDP) manufacturers, including two new Web pages;
- Application deadlines for the new Tire Incentive Program, designed to increase demand for crumb rubber and promote value-added products made from crumb rubber; and
- The upcoming CalRecycle Tire Conference April 23-24 in Sacramento.
All participants must register before the event at the agency's website.
