BETHESDA, Md. (Jan. 28, 2014) — With National Car Care Month approaching in April, the Car Care Council (CCC) is urging tire dealers and auto repair facilities to use its national consumer media campaign to promote proper vehicle maintenance and expand their businesses.
“After a harsh winter like this one, customers' vehicles will need extra attention to make sure they are ready for the spring and summer driving season,” said Rich White, executive director of the Car Care Council and senior vice president of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA). “That means more business for shops around the country.”
Through the council's website, dealers and shop owners can find several ways to promote both National Car Care Month and their own businesses, according to Mr. White. For instance, customers can sign up through the website to receive free, customized auto service schedules, he said.
Also through the website, shop owners can send customers the council's free Car Care Guide, or print out car care tips for customers to read in the showroom, Mr. White said.
If planning National Car Care Month events, shop owners may list them on the website, he said. They also may order National Car Care Month banners and posters through the website, as well as National Car Care Month mirror danglers for customers.
Special point-of-sale kits for National Car Care Month are available from the website, as well as the capability for shop owners to make their own promotional signs, Mr. White said.
