AKRON—Paul Dvorak, CEO of American Industrial Tire in Dallas, has joined the advisory council of the 2014 ITEC Tire Dealers/Auto Service show.
Mr. Dvorak served on executive committee of the National Tire Dealers and Retreaders Association board (predecessor organization of the Tire Industry Association) and recently retired from the TIA board after serving for three years He is a past president of both the North Texas Tire Dealers Association and the Texas Tire Dealers Association.
Mr. Dvorak began his career in the tire industry nearly 50 years ago, working with two different tire manufacturers early in his career before founding American Industrial Tire in 1973.
The company expanded to four locations in Texas and Louisiana and markets forklift, solid, skid steer, foam filled and OTR tires for industrial and construction equipment companies.
“One of our goals for the 2014 ITEC Tire Dealers/Auto Service show is to offer a robust commercial tire program. Paul has agreed to organize and act as moderator for a Commercial Tire Panel. We feel this will be a strong draw for an important segment of the industry and pair well with our overall focus on profitability,” said Conference Chairman Ray Evans.
