Mazda discusses new racing prototype

DETROIT — In this video, John Doonan, director of motorsports at Mazda North America Operations, discusses the Mazda racing prototype that was on display at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Mr. Doonan said the prototype will compete in the 2014 TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.

"We are really proud to bring road car technology to the race track," Mr. Doonan said.

He added that the car rolls on Continental tires and that Continental "has been a significant partner.
