KENOSHA, Wis. (Jan. 17, 2014) — Snap-On Tools is sponsoring a tour of its corporate Innovation Center and seminar for participants at the Auto TECH Expo April 3-5 in Chicago.
Snap-On Tools, a subsidiary of Snap-On Inc., said the event in Kenosha on the morning of April 3 will include a tour of the center's auto-technology lab; the Snap-on Museum, showing memorabilia dating to the company's founding in 1920; its prototyping and 3D modeling facility; and its training center.
There will also be a technical seminar by Jim Moritz, Snap-on's national training manager — "Breaking Good: Vehicle Sensors as a Diagnostic Tool" — which will discuss how to read oxygen, zirconia, titanium, lambda and other sensor technologies.
Snap-On said the seminar will range from the basics of oxygen-sensor operation to tuning engine performance using the exhaust sensors as a diagnostic tool.
A spokesperson for Snap-On said the first 120 people to sign up for seminars will ride in buses to Kenosha, take part in the tour and attend the Snap-on seminar there. The rest of that day's seminars will start at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare after the group returns.
