Crain News Service report
GHENT, Belgium (Dec. 27, 2013) — Terex Port Solutions has completed a six-month test trial of Magna Tyres Group's harbor crane tires.
Magna's MB300 tire was shod on Terex's GHMK 6407 B harbor crane in Ghent.
The tire distributor said that for 2014, it will be the confirmed main strategic partner to Terex Port Solutions, based in Düsseldorf.
The release of the OEM approval confirms the ongoing partnership between the two companies as part of their long term strategy. The partnership involves standard fitment of "premium quality" Magna MB300 tires, size 14.00-24, to the production of the Terex Gottwald harbor crane models GHMK Model 6, Model 7 and Model 8.
These three models are the most widely used Terex Gottwald crane models, employed for nearly all port applications worldwide, according to the company. Further cooperation during 2014 and beyond is expected between both companies.
