REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio (Dec. 23, 2013) — American Kenda Rubber Industrial Co. Ltd. has secured a deal making Kenda the title sponsor for the National Enduro Series for motorcycles through 2016.
Kenda's deal is with National Enduro Promotions Group (NEPG), an entity formed by a group of enduro enthusiasts to assist the American Motorcycle Association in promoting and managing the AMA National Enduro Series.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
“We're an off-road focused brand, so the National Enduro Series is a key property for us to be associated with,” said Kenda's Gus Niewenhous.
“Our intentions have always been to move up to the title-level support as soon as the opportunity became available. We're looking forward to the continued relationship with both the NEPG and all of the participants throughout the country.”
The NEPG called Kenda a “valued partner” for the past several years, providing financial support, product donations, trackside assistance and technical support.
American Kenda is the Reynoldsburg-based North American sales subsidiary of Taiwan's Kenda Rubber Industrial Co. Ltd.
The 2014 Kenda AMA National Enduro Series pre-season calendar lists 10 events at tracks across the U.S. starting in early March and running through mid-September.
