LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. — Snap-on Diagnostics, a subsidiary of Snap-on Inc., recently released Snap-on Software Upgrade 13.4, marking one of its largest European vehicle upgrades to-date, with additional diagnostics coverage for 10 European makes.
The update provides coverage for the Fiat 500 for engine, transmission, ABS, airbag, body control, instrument, electric power steering and other vehicles systems. Additional coverage also is available for Audi-, BMW-, Jaguar-, Land Rover-, Mercedes-Benz-, MINI-, Smart Car-, Volkswagen- and Volvo-brand vehicles.
"Diagnosing and repairing European vehicles is challenging, so Snap-on has added more depth to its European software," said Christopher Hockett, product manager, Snap-on Diagnostics. "Software Upgrade 13.4, like previous upgrades, gives technicians true OEM-specific coverage to tackle jobs from general repair, to drivability, to body control and HVAC issues."
Highlights of the new, optional upgrade package include: BMW HVAC, power distribution module, seat and mirror modules (2004 and newer) and lamp module; Jaguar tire pressure monitoring systems, EPS and IPM; Land Rover park assist and HVAC; Mercedes-Benz front and rear signal acquisition modules; Volkswagen throttle relearn; Audi throttle relearn; and hundreds of additional systems.
