KEARNEY, Neb. (Nov. 26, 2013) — Tire industry veteran Jeff M. Vasichek died Nov. 17 in Kearney after a battle with cancer.
Mr. Vasichek, 50, was previously vice president of sales and marketing at Titan International Inc., resigning in 2011. He had joined the company in 2005 when Titan purchased Goodyear's North American farm tire business. He previously worked for Goodyear as general manager of farm tires.
Mr. Vasichek ultimately joined Kearney-based Baldwin Filters Inc. as vice president of sales and marketing.
He grew up in Michigan, N.D., and graduated from Michigan Public High School and North Dakota State University. Mr. Vasichek married Brenda Glovich in 1990. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Vasichek is survived by his wife and their son Adam; his father and mother James and Norma Vasichek; his brother Jay (Maria) Vasichek; sisters Laurie Vasichek and Jill (John) Vasichek West; and father-in-law John Glovich.
