SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (Nov. 15, 2013) — Temporary tire repair product bands "Fix-A-Flat" and "Slime," in partnership with Advance Auto Parts, are planning a battle to decide the favorite tire repair product.

The contest coordinates with the release of the Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. film "Grudge Match," the story of two aging boxers — played by Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone — who come out of retirement for one final match.

It is due in theaters this Christmas.

Contest participants can visit the Facebook page for Slime or Fix-A-Flat and "like" their favorite tire repair product to participate in the match.

Participants then click on the sweepstakes tab and follow the instructions to complete and submit the entry form, which includes name, mailing address, phone number and email address, to win a grand prize hometown screening of Grudge Match with 50 friends, or other Grudge Match prizes.

The sweepstakes runs through Dec. 31.

"Much like (Messrs.) Stallone and De Niro are luminaries in their industry, Slime and Fix-A-Flat are heavyweights in theirs," said Patrick Mallon, director of marketing for Accessories Marketing Inc., the marketer of both the Slime and Fix-a-Flat polymer tire sealants.

"We thought having Slime and Fix-A-Flat square off in the spirit of the film Grudge Match would be fun and exciting."

In the movie, Messrs. De Niro and Stallone play Billy "The Kid" McDonnen and Henry "Razor" Sharp, respectively, boxers from Pittsburgh whose rivalry put them in the national spotlight 30 years earlier, according to Warner Bros.' summary of the movie.

The "Grudge Match" is a promoter's idea of allowing them to settle their three-decade old stalemate.
