LAS VEGAS (Nov. 13, 2013) — Tool and equipment maker Snap-on Inc. picked up five Innovation Awards from Professional Tool & Equipment News (PTEN) during the recent 2013 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) show in Las Vegas.
The magazine, published by Fort Atkinson, Wis.-based Cygnus Business Media, gives out the awards to companies whose products “respond to the automotive repair industry's market challenges with creativity and innovation.”
A panel of active and independent automotive technicians, shop owners and tool distributors examined award nominees, according to Snap-on, and voted the company's products the best in these categories:
• Lab Scopes: Snap-on BK8000 Wireless Digital Inspection Scope;
• Lighting: Rechargeable Lithium Ion Work Light;
• Tool Storage: Diagnostic Mobile WorkStations;
• Tire, Wheel Service: John Bean® AC400 Touchless Wheel Clamp; and
• Shop Equipment: Integrity Test Drive by John Bean.
