POWAY, Calif. (Nov. 8, 2013) — Mitchell Repair Information Co. L.L.C.'s Mitchell 1 brand has launched 1Search, a powerful new search function ProDemand repair information software.
1Search is designed to streamline the search process by integrating data from Michell's SureTrack diagnostic resource to "provide comprehensive, categorized repair information in a user-friendly interface," the company said.
According to Mitchell 1, the 1Search function in ProDemand incorporates a single search field for entering diagnostic trouble codes, components or symptoms. The system then returns information from the firm's library of OEM data, as well as detailed parts replacement records, tips and "Real Fixes" from the SureTrack experience-based information database.
"Last year, Mitchell 1 introduced SureTrack to the marketplace, and it has been an amazing success story," said Ben Johnson, director of product management, Mitchell 1. "This year, we have integrated the SureTrack data into ProDemand, our premium source for OEM content. With this new global search feature, users can improve their efficiencies by keying in their search term from a single location to retrieve a wealth of information sorted into easy-to-use categories."
After a user begins a new search, the information is organized into the familiar tabs in the ProDemand dashboard, allowing him/her to easily locate the most relevant information to solve a particular repair problem, Mitchell 1 said.
