LAS VEGAS (Nov. 1, 2013) — The Auto International Association (AIA), a segment of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA), will host a series of "Global Market Updates" at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas.
The series of seminars is the result of strategic planning by the AIA Executive Leadership Council, the association said. It is part of a decision to expand AIA's focus to identifying and promoting both import and export opportunities for AAIA members, it said. Previously, AIA was known as the import segment of AAIA.
India will be the subject of the first Global Market Update, at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India will present the seminar.
A seminar on Colombia, presented by the U.S. Commercial Service, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5. The final seminar, on Australia, will be presented by the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
All three seminars will take place in the AAPEX Press Conference Room in the Sands Expo Center, AAIA said.
In addition to the Global Market Updates, AIA also will feature a seminar, "Best Export Opportunities for U.S. Auto Parts." Conducted by the U.S. Commercial Service, the seminar will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6 in Marco Polo Room 704.
