LAS VEGAS (Oct. 30, 2013) — "Aftermarket Telematics: Separating Fact from Fiction" is the title of the seminar scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 7 as part of the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) Learning Forum at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.
Beginning at 9 a.m., the seminar is part of AAPEX, which will be held Nov. 5-7 in Las Vegas. Roger Lanctot, associate director in the Global Automotive Practice of Strategy Analytics, and Scott Luckett, chief information officer for the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA), will be co-presenters.
Messrs. Lanctot and Luckett will describe the threat to the aftermarket supply chain posed by remote diagnostic technology embedded by vehicle manufacturers, AAIA said. They will present options and solutions the aftermarket can deploy to successfully confront the "connected car."
The winner of the 2013 Aftermarket Telematics Challenge also will be introduced at the seminar. The AAIA sponsors the challenge to recognize the best example of aftermarket telematics connectivity within the independent parts and service chain.
