FINDLAY, Ohio (Oct. 29, 2013) — Hercules Tire & Rubber Co.'s W-speed rated Raptis WR1 will soon be available in four additional 17-inch sizes.
New sizes for the ultra-high-performance line include: 215/50ZR17 95W XL; 225/50ZR17 98W XL; 225/55ZR17 101W XL; and 235/45ZR17 97W XL. They will be available from Hercules dealers and distributors by year-end.
The Findlay-based private brand marketer said the new sizes will fit vehicles that include Acura TL and TSX, Chevy Malibu, Chrysler 200, Ford Focus and Fusion, Kia Optima, Lincoln MKZ, Volvo S60 and more.
The Raptis WR1 combines modern aesthetics, steering response with a silica compound and an asymmetric tread design to deliver high-performance all year round, Hercules said.
The tire also features a limited 35,000-mile warranty that includes Hercules' road hazard protection. The Raptis WR1 also contains non-aromatic oil which, according to Hercules, reduces its carbon footprint.
In total, the Hercules Raptis WR1 line offers 27 SKU's with rim diameters ranging from 16 to 20 inches.
