HICKORY, N.C.Clark Tire Complete Truck & Auto Service is celebrating a double 70th anniversary70 years in business and 70 years as a Goodyear customer.
Founded in 1943 by John A. Clark, father of current owner John D. Clark, the Hickory-based dealership is part of the Goodyear Tire & Service Network, Motorist Assistance Program and Be Car Care Aware program.
Clark Tire also recently opened a retail store in Hendersonville, N.C., its 19th in the Tar Heel State. It also operates two commercial tire outlets, a retread plant and three wholesale centers.
Clark Tire celebrated its 70th earlier by arranging to have the Good-year Blimp Spirit of Goodyear visit Hickory and give invited Clark Tire guests rides.
While predominantly a Goodyear dealer, Clark Tire also stocks and sells BFGoodrich, Dunlop, Hankook, Kelly, Michelin and Uniroyal tires, according to its website.
