LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J.STS Tire & Auto Centers will be a Silver Level Partner and Presenting Sponsor of the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games, scheduled for June 14-21, 2014, at Weaver Stadium at Princeton University.
Organizers of the 2014 Special Olympics expect nearly 3,500 athletes to compete in 16 sports, supported by 1,000 coaches, 10,000 volunteers and 70,000 spectators.
As an employee-owned business, we knew a partnership with STS would include more than just a financial boost to the Games but an emotional investment as well, said TJ Nelligan, president and chairman of the 2014 USA Games.
STS has empowered its employees to truly become part of these Games by creating internal programs for its owner-employees and customers to personally contribute to and benefit from the company's partnership of the 2014 USA Games.
STS said it will be recognized throughout Weaver Stadium with signage as well as in all external communications regarding the Athletics Competition at the 2014 USA Games. STS will be highlighting its partnership with the 2014 USA Games in much of its marketing initiatives over the next year, including in billboards and radio advertising.
Partnering with the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games provides STS with a unique opportunity to give back to the communities we serve by embracing the overall mission of the Special Olympics, said STS President Bill Caulin.
STS did not disclose the value of its participation. The Somerset, N.J.-based dealership operates 150 retail tire stores throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
