ELGIN, Ill. (Oct. 16, 2013) — Mike McGrath, president of SKF Vehicle Service Market (VSM), North America, died Oct. 11.
Mr. McGrath, 54, joined SKF in 1993 and held the position of VSM president the past seven years. He was an active member of the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA), the Automotive Warehouse Distributor Association (AWDA), Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) and the Aftermarket Hall of Fame, as well as a regular participant in several other industry associations.
SKF said Mr. McGrath was highly respected and admired by his friends and colleagues throughout the company and the automotive and heavy duty industries.
He is survived by his children Jenna, Michael and Jaclyn.
