Editor's note: A web item posted on TireBusiness.com on Sept. 27 incorrectly identified Mickey Thompson's new Deegan 38 as a "competition light-truck tire for use in off-road racing." It is not a racing tire.
STOW, Ohio (Oct. 15, 2013) — Max-Trac Tire Co. Inc., which does business as Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels (MT), has rescheduled a media conference at the upcoming Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show to introduce its new Mickey Thompson Deegan 38 light truck tire.
The Stow-based private brand tire marketer said it will host off-road racing champion Brian Deegan — namesake for MT's Deegan 38 — who will help introduce the tire along with MT executives during a media conference at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, at booth 43035 at the SEMA Show.
Mr. Deegan is a four-time Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) Short Course champion and 16-time X Games medalist. He competes in the Pro 2 Unlimited Class and the Pro Lite Unlimited Class using Mickey Thompson tires. In addition to his LOORRS success, he is an international competitor and, MT said, the most decorated Freestyle Motocross rider in the competition's history.
