FORT MILL, S.C.—Chrysler Group L.L.C. has designated the Continental ProContact TX as standard OE fitment on the 2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited Edition.
Continental Tire the Americas L.L.C. said Chrysler approved the fitment in size 225/55 R18 for the 4X2 models, and in size 225/60 R 18 for the 4X4 versions, which is rolling onto showroom floors in the third quarter.
The ProContact TX is a touring performance, all-season tire designed for comfort and handling, Conti said, and its low density undertread compound helps ensure that impacts and road vibrations are absorbed for a smooth ride.
Other features include a balanced sipe-to-block ratio that gives all-weather grip and handling while the blocking rib on the tire's shoulder block reduces noise by keeping it contained to the tread area.
