LAS VEGAS (Oct. 4, 2013) — Toyo Tires U.S.A. Inc. is expanding its presence at this year's Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show with a covered walkway/exhibit space called “Toyo Treadpass” that will connect the Central and South Halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Toyo also is planning an off-road racing demonstration for Nov. 6, 4:30–6 p.m., at the adjoining outdoor motorsports area (GM Proving Ground), SEMA said.
The Treadpass will occupy space between the two halls that Chrysler Group/MOPAR has used the past several years to display classic and hot rod Chryslers, Dodges, etc.
This covered area will allow show attendees to experience the Toyo Tires lifestyle, which revolves around the brand's tagline “Driven to Perform,” SEMA said.
The Treadpass will be filled with vehicles of all sorts, including customized cars, trucks and big rigs, all equipped with Toyo Proxes, Open Country or commercial tires, SEMA said, and will offer charging stations for portable devices and a seating area.
“The Toyo Tires Treadpass is a one-of-a-kind attraction that will enhance the show by serving as a landmark for our attendees and creating a memorable experience,” said Peter MacGillivray, vice president of communications and events for SEMA.
These features, together with Toyo's booth on the show floor and a Toyo competition products display in the DUB Live area near the front entrance of the South Hall, represent Toyo's largest presence ever at the annual aftermarket expo, according to said Amy Coleman, Toyo's senior director of marketing, who added: “Attendees will be immersed in the Toyo Tires lifestyle in several areas located throughout the expansive convention center.”
