FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Oct. 2, 2013) — Hennelly Tire & Auto Inc. has joined Omni United (S) Pte. Ltd.'s "Mobilizing Hope" campaign again this year to support breast cancer research.
Hennelly Tire, which does business as Tire Choice & Total Car Care, will hold sales and specials throughout October — Breast Cancer Awareness Month — to raise money for breast cancer research.
This year marks the third consecutive year Tire Choice has participated in Mobilizing Hope, which was set up by Singapore-based tire distributor Omni United. The program pays a fee for every Radar-brand tire — Omni United's exclusive label — sold by campaign participants.
This year Omni United increased the donation several-fold to $5 per tire sold going directly to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), with a maximum donation of $250,000.
"My wife Diane and I are very proud to again partner with Omni and a great organization like the BCRF," said Dan Hennelly, CEO of Hennelly Tire/Tire Choice.
"We are dedicated to this cause because of the tremendous commitment they have to the prevention and treatment of breast cancer."
As a part of the Mobilizing Hope campaign, Tire Choice said it will offer a 10-percent service discount every Wednesday during October at all of its 35 stores to customers dressed in pink. In addition, Tire Choice will donate $1 to local breast cancer research for every Radar-brand tire sold.
Mr. Hennelly said breast cancer is a disease that "hits very close to home for many people" because "everyone knows at least one person who has been affected by it."
He said the dealership is "happy to be able to show our support across all Tire Choice locations and the team is committed to increasing our campaign sales numbers from last year."
Omni United has donated $250,000 each of the past two years to the BCRF, following the Mobilizing Hope campaigns.
