LAS VEGAS (Oct. 2, 2013) — Former U.S. Rep. Albert Wynn, D-Md., will be a special guest at the Tire Industry Association's (TIA) Nov. 4 cocktail hour in Las Vegas.
The TIA cocktail hour is one of the events preceding the Global Tire Expo-Powered by TIA, scheduled for Nov. 4-8 during the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show. Rep. Wynn will deliver some brief remarks at the event, TIA said.
An eight-term member of Congress, Rep. Wynn was for many years an integral part of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, according to TIA. He was a sponsor of the 2007 Energy Independence Act, which had as one of its provisions a national standard for tire fuel efficiency labeling and consumer education.
The TIA cocktail hour will take place between 5 and 6 p.m. at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Tickets are complimentary, but TIA is requesting RSVPs. To reserve for the event, go to http://bit.ly.13ssAgj or print out the mail-in registration form at TIA's website.
