BETHESDA, Md. — The Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) will hold the third of five 30-minute, members-only webinars on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on Oct. 17.
The webinar, "How to Determine Full-Time Equivalents and Full-Time Employees," is scheduled for 11 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
Beginning on Jan. 1, 2015, the ACA's shared responsibility penalties will be assessed on "large" companies — employers with 50 or more full-time employees — if a full-time employee qualifies for a subsidy and buys insurance in the state or federal marketplace, the AAIA said.
The Oct. 17 webinar is designed to help the AAIA member companies determine if they qualify as "large" companies and present information on Internal Revenue Service safe harbor methods to determine who is a full-time employee for purposes of health coverage and assessments.
Anita Baker, managing partner-employee benefit plans for CliftonLarsonAllen L.L.P., will once again be the presenter.
