LAVERGNE, Tenn. (Sept. 20, 2013) — Hennessy Industries Inc. has launched a line of "affordable" automotive lifts under the BaseLine by COATS name, designed to compete in the lower cost segment but assembled with North American-sourced hydraulic units and other components.
"After three years of offering BaseLine by COATS changers and balancers, it's obvious that there's a demand from a large segment of shops for high-quality equipment without a high price tag," said Kevin Keefe, Hennessy's vice president of marketing.
"We know that customers in this segment are looking for an affordable unit that is reliable, does the job right the first time, and has parts and service support, and that's what BaseLine lifts offer."
Unlike most auto lifts at lower price points, Hennessy said the BaseLine lifts use North American hydraulic units and pre-stretched cables for better performance, longer life and reliability.
"When purchasing lifts in this price range, most shops have to give up quality and reliability in terms of the hydraulic units and cables," Mr. Keefe said. "The hydraulics in the BaseLine lifts will give customers the peace of mind that they're getting a quality product."
Hennessy is offering BaseLine lifts in a selection of styles, including two-post (6,000- to 11,000-pound lifting capacity), four-post (8,000- to 12,000-pound capacity), motorcycle/ATV, mid-rise and parking lifts.
Hennessy launched the BaseLine product line in 2011, starting with a range of tire changers and wheel balancers designed for light-duty or low-volume tire service needs.
