STAUNTON, Va. (Sept. 12, 2013) — Federated Auto Parts Inc. has extended its sponsorship agreement with Richmond International Raceway (RIR) for the track's Federated Auto Parts 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race for "several" more years.
"All of us at Federated Auto Parts are proud to extend our relationship with Richmond International Raceway and its premier spot on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule," said Rusty Bishop, CEO of Federated Auto Parts.
The sponsorship relates to the fall race at the central Virginia track, which annually stages two Sprint Cup races.
RIR staged the inaugural Federated Auto Parts 400 last year. The parties did not say for how many years the agreement was extended. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Federated said it also remains the official auto parts supplier of the Richmond track.
"We added Federated Auto Parts to a growing list of Virginia-based companies last year, and knowing they'll be part of our family solidifies our partnership for years to come," said RIR President Dennis Bickmeier.
