CYPRESS, Calif.—Nitto Tire U.S.A. Inc. has unveiled Racing Rivals, a free-to-play mobile drag racing game for iPhone and iPad that is now available as a free download on the App Store.
Nitto described Racing Rivals as an intense, high-speed game that was developed by Cie Games Inc. and sponsored by Nitto Tire. Players can upgrade,
customize and race all their favorite cars in real-time against players around the world, competing for in-game cash, street credibility and even pink slips.
Nitto said “with high-stakes head-to-head racing and an unparalleled level of depth and customization options, Racing Rivals is the definitive drag racing game for mobile devices.
“The increased stakes of knowing others are watching and evaluating every performance lends a visceral quality to Racing Rivals that only comes from true social interaction. Optional betting further amplifies that adrenaline rush,” the tire maker said.
There are more than 40 popular cars available from car makers such as BMW A.G., Honda Motor Co. and McLaren Automotive Ltd., Nitto said, noting that the game offers realistic customization that accounts for the taxing wear and tear of performing vehicle modifications.
Players can access hundreds of stat-boosting and aesthetic parts, such as Nitto-brand tires, and other upgrades.
Cie Games said players can swap tuning tips on the official Racing Rivals forums and Facebook page.
