FINDLAY, Ohio (Aug. 27, 2013) — Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. is expanding its Discoverer light truck tire line with the Discoverer HT3, which is engineered for premium commercial-grade performance together with highway traction in all seasons.
The Discover HT3, designed to resist abnormal wear, according to Findlay-based Cooper, is now available nationwide in R and S speed ratings and in 17 sizes ranging from 15- to 18-inch rim diameters.
Scott Jamieson, Cooper's director of product management, said the HT3 "satisfies the needs of hard-working business owners" while "covering approximately 96 percent of the most popular light truck highway market sizes."
Features of the Cooper Discoverer HT3 include commercial-grade advanced technology, Cooper said, such as a silica-infused tread compound and full-depth 3D micro-gauge siping, a continuous shoulder rib providing superior resistance to irregular wear and a quieter ride.
Cooper said the Discover HT3 is designed for highway and commercial driving for light trucks and small fleet delivery vehicles, including Sprinter, Ford E-Series, Ram Cargo, Chevy Express and Nissan NV Cargo vans, as well as three-quarter and one-ton pickup trucks.
