    MADISON, Wis. (Aug. 23, 2013) — Forward Lift's nationwide network of distributors and installers now includes nine Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) Certified Lift Inspectors, who are qualified to provide professional inspections on any vehicle lift, the company said.

    Forward Lift said several more of its affiliates have enrolled in the certification program, which was created in 2012 to give shop owners a trustworthy resource for finding qualified lift inspectors to complete mandatory annual lift inspections.

    Before the program was launched, lift owners had little to rely on when selecting an inspector, according to Forward Lift. Now inspectors can gain third-party verification that they are fully qualified to inspect any make or model of lift.

    "Annual lift inspections are required under ANSI/ALI ALCTV-2011, the national standard covering vehicle lift operation, inspection and maintenance," said Lance Jones, sales and brand manager for Forward Lift. "In supporting the ALI Lift Inspector Certification initiative, our distributors have equipped themselves with a valuable tool to serve their customers.

    "Certified inspectors are able to identify lift issues before they become problems, which prevents expensive repairs, maintains shop productivity and protects employees."

    ALI Certified Lift Inspectors receive individual certification numbers that are listed in an online directory, on their certification patches and on the stickers they apply to lifts they inspect. Forward Lift certified inspectors include:

    c Aaron Corsetti of All Seasons Equipment in Allenstown, N.H.;

    c Cole Siegle of Benco Equipment in Shakopee, Minn.;

    c Barry Harrell and Mark Sammartino of Coastal Automotive Equipment Sales in Vero Beach, Fla.;

    c Nick Plakidas of Don Parker Sales in Pittsburgh, Pa.;

    c James Girdlestone, Marvin Girdlestone and Charles Newcomb of Loomis-Root in Amherst, N.Y.; and

    c Barry Holcomb of Snag Equipment Brokers in Alabaster, Ala.
