KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (Aug. 21, 2013) — Malaysia's natural rubber (NR) production in June rose 33.1 percent to 66,566 tons from the 50,016 tons in May, the country's statistics department said.
However, June's output was 22.5 percent lower than in 2012.
Small holdings accounted for 92.2 percent of the NR produced in June, and estates for the 7.8 percent balance. Total exports of NR rubber in June amounted to 62,404 tons, down 1.6 percent from May.
