FORT MILL, S.C. (Aug. 20, 2013) — Continental Tire the Americas L.L.C. has promoted Javier Mendoza to head of the Caribbean, Mexican and Central American (CAMEXCA) market for Continental Tire de Mexico, effective Aug. 1.
Mr. Mendoza will also be responsible for the passenger and light truck tire replacement sales business. Mr. Mendoza previously was head of commercial vehicle tire sales for the CAMEXCA market. He also has served in a variety of roles as a manager of various areas of Continental's tire business.
"During the past eight years, Javier has strengthened our relationship and business with our customers and improved Continental's presence in the in the CAMEXCA market," said Jochen Etzel, CEO of Continental Tire.
"His perspective and experiences have prepared him well for this new expanded role in the region."
Mr. Mendoza joined the company in 2002, Conti said, with experience working in similar national sales roles for another tire manufacturer. He is fluent in Spanish, English and French and has a master's degree in Maritime and Aerial Law from Université Libre de Bruxelles in Brussels, Belgium and a bachelor's degree in Law from Universidad Nacional Autonóma de México in Mexico City.
